CFO Kathryn Sherratt departs
After seven years at FSCS, with more than three years as CFO and member of the Board and Executive Team, Kathryn Sherratt is leaving FSCS on 23 May to take on a senior role at the Post Office.
Kathryn led the FSCS’s approach to business planning and budgeting, including the introduction of activity-based budgeting. During her tenure Kathryn and the Finance team successfully contributed to influencing, supporting and delivering on the scheme’s business strategy.
FSCS Chairman Marsh Bailey said: “By looking at the bigger picture and challenging established processes, Kathryn has made significant improvements to FSCS’s working practices. Kathryn’s approach and her work were firmly based on FSCS’s mission to help people to get their lives back on track after a firm has failed. On behalf of the FSCS Board I would like to thank Kathryn for her professionalism and commitment and wish her continued success in the future.”
Fiona Kidy, Head of Financial Management and Funding, will be Acting CFO following Kathryn’s departure.
Reflecting on her seven years with FSCS, Kathryn responded, “I have enjoyed my career at FSCS, working with great people to pay compensation to those impacted by financial failures. The time was right for me to take on a new challenge and I wish Fiona and everyone at the Scheme the very best for the future.”
