Commitments Protection Limited t/a/ PPI Probate (FRN 307800) is a claims management company that became authorised in January 2005. From 29 April 2022 the firm could no longer take any new regulated claims management activity, and from 29 May 2022, the firm could no longer to carry out any regulated claims management activities. From 27 June 2023 the firm was no longer authorised by the FCA.
We understand that some customers paid fees to the firm for a service they didn’t receive. However, this activity is not protected by FSCS.
FSCS protection does not extend to firms that are solely authorised to carry out claims management activities. This means we’re unable to compensate customers who lost their fees when the firm entered liquidation.
Customers may have asked Commitments Protection Limited (CPL) to help them make a claim for compensation.
