What are 'cookies'?
The FSCS website uses two types of cookie:
- Accessibility cookies
- Anonymous analytics cookies
This type of cookie remembers any preferences you specified on our Accessibility Help page. If you have sight problems, the Accessibility Help page enables you to increase or decrease the font size and change the colour scheme to make use of differing contrast levels (as shown above right).
Anonymous analytics cookies
Whenever you visit our website, our web analytics software creates anonymous cookies. These cookies collect information during your visit that is helpful to us. This includes:
- the number of times you’ve visited our website before
- when you arrived/left our website
- your geographic location
- the search engine you may have used to reach the FSCS website
- any links you click on.
These cookies cannot be used to identify individuals; they are used for statistical purposes only.
How do I turn cookies off?
It is possible to stop your browser accepting cookies, or to stop it accepting cookies from a particular website.
All modern internet browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. These settings will typically be found in the 'options' or 'preferences' menu of your browser.
